Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita has appointed Terrance Kelly as Director of Sales & Marketing. Kelly is also the first member recruited for the resort’s opening team as the property progresses towards its debut in Punta de Mita, Mexico.
Kelly brings more than 20 years of luxury hospitality experience, with a career spanning sales, marketing, commercial strategy, business development, partnerships and pre-opening operations. His background includes leadership positions with The St. Regis, W Miami and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
The addition strengthens the hospitality sector’s team, contributing to hotel appointments.
To Lead Sales and Marketing Ahead of Opening
In his new role, Kelly will oversee the sales and marketing functions at Omni Pontoque Resort as the property advances towards its opening.
His responsibilities will cover commercial strategy, business development, partnerships, sales and marketing communications. As part of the opening team, he will also contribute to establishing the resort’s commercial direction and sales and marketing operations ahead of launch.
More Than 20 Years in Luxury Hospitality
Before joining Omni Pontoque Resort, Kelly served as Area Director of Sales & Marketing for The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and W Miami.
He previously held several leadership positions with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His roles included Director of Sales and Marketing at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, where he was responsible for sales and marketing activities at the property.
Kelly also served as Multi Property Director of Sales for Four Seasons Resorts Nevis and Punta Mita, overseeing sales responsibilities across the two resort properties.
Earlier, he was Director of Sales at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, gaining experience in the local luxury hospitality market.
Experience Across Commercial Strategy and Pre-Opening
Kelly’s career has combined sales and marketing leadership with broader commercial responsibilities. His experience includes business development, strategic partnerships, marketing communication and commercial planning, alongside operational exposure to pre-opening environments.
His previous experience in Punta Mita also gives him familiarity with the destination as he takes on his new role with Omni Pontoque Resort.
Building the Resort’s Commercial Platform
As the first member recruited for the resort’s opening team, Kelly will play a role in establishing the sales and marketing functions ahead of the property’s debut.
His remit will include developing commercial strategies, building business relationships and partnerships, and positioning the resort across its target markets as it moves closer to opening.
Supporting Omni Pontoque Resort’s Opening
Kelly’s appointment places more than two decades of luxury hospitality sales and marketing experience within the resort’s opening team.
With a career spanning Four Seasons, St. Regis and W Miami, as well as previous experience in Punta Mita, his background will support Omni Pontoque Resort as it develops its commercial operations ahead of its opening in Mexico.
