Marriott International has appointed Arun Kumar as Area General Manager – Bali (Premium & Select Properties), giving him oversight of 21 Marriott International properties across Bali. He has also been appointed General Manager of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC).
In his new leadership role, Kumar will oversee the resort’s operations and the adjoining convention centre, while also supporting the performance and strategic direction of Marriott International’s premium and select properties across the destination.
This appointment contributes to Marriott’s organisational development, reflecting leadership appointments in hospitality.
To Lead Marriott’s Bali Operations
Kumar will oversee operations at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and BICC, with responsibilities spanning guest experience, accommodation, dining, meetings and events, destination weddings, family travel, wellness and sustainability.
His remit combines resort operations with the convention business, covering a diverse range of leisure, corporate and events segments. At the area level, he will also oversee 21 Marriott International properties across Bali.
More Than 30 Years of Hospitality Experience
Kumar brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience across Asia, the Caribbean and the United States. His career includes leadership roles with Marriott International, Hyatt and Accor.
Prior to returning to Bali, Kumar served as Market Vice President – North India, Nepal and Bhutan at Marriott International. He was responsible for the performance and strategic growth of 60 Marriott International hotels across the region.
His career across multiple international markets has included senior operational and commercial leadership responsibilities, giving him experience across different hospitality environments and markets.
