Le Méridien Kochi has appointed Ajeesh R as Assistant Director of Human Resources. In his new role, he will support the hotel’s human resources function, overseeing talent management, employee engagement, learning and development, compliance, and people strategy.

Ajeesh R brings more than 15 years of experience in hospitality human resources across leading hotel brands. His expertise spans talent acquisition, employee engagement, organisational development, industrial relations, statutory compliance, learning and development, and HR operations.
As Assistant Director of Human Resources, he will work closely with the leadership team to strengthen associate engagement, support talent development, and enhance the hotel’s people-first culture.
Experience Across Marriott, Hyatt and CGH Earth
Prior to joining Le Méridien Kochi, Ajeesh served as Multi-Property Assistant Director of Human Resources for Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport and Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Kochi, where he led human resources operations across both properties.
Earlier, he held the position of Multi-Property Human Resources Manager, overseeing HR functions, employee engagement initiatives, compliance, and workforce planning across the two Marriott hotels.
Before rejoining Marriott International, Ajeesh was Human Resources Manager at Hyatt Regency Kochi Malayattoor, where he was part of the hotel’s pre-opening team. He also supported human resources operations at Hyatt Centric Janakpuri, New Delhi.
His career also includes leadership roles with CGH Earth, serving as Human Resources Manager at Marari Beach Resort and Assistant Manager – Human Resources at Coconut Lagoon, Kumarakom, where he managed HR operations, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
Earlier in his career, he was associated with The Leela Palaces & Resorts, Kovalam, Muthoot Pappachan Group, and completed his industrial training at Ramada Hotel and Caravela Beach Resort, Goa.
