Marriott International has promoted Gagandeep Singh Hanjra to Senior Director of Revenue Strategy – West India, effective August 1, 2026. Based in Mumbai, he will lead regional revenue strategy across one of Marriott’s largest operating markets, supporting commercial performance, pricing optimisation and long-term business growth.
Hanjra brings more than 16 years of experience in hospitality revenue management and commercial strategy. Over the course of his career, he has worked with several leading hotel brands, building expertise in pricing, portfolio management, revenue optimisation and strategic commercial planning.
This move reflects Marriott’s continued expansion, aligning with hotel appointments.
To Lead Revenue Strategy Across West India
As Senior Director of Revenue Strategy – West India, Hanjra will oversee revenue strategy across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and the SAMHI portfolio, working closely with hotel leadership teams to strengthen commercial performance across the region.
His responsibilities include driving hotel performance, enhancing pricing strategies, supporting commercial decision-making, strengthening revenue management processes and leading regional revenue operations to maximise profitability and market competitiveness.
Builds on Extensive Revenue Management Experience
Prior to his promotion, Hanjra served as Market Director of Revenue Strategy at Marriott International, where he managed revenue strategy for the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai portfolios. In this role, he partnered with hotel leadership teams to optimise commercial performance, implement pricing strategies and improve revenue outcomes across multiple properties.
He began his hospitality career in 2009 with The Leela Hotels, laying the foundation for a career in revenue management and commercial strategy.
Earlier, he held revenue leadership roles with Accor, The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and ITC Hotels, gaining broad experience in pricing, commercial strategy, portfolio management and revenue optimisation across diverse hospitality brands.
Hanjra holds a Computer Science degree from Delhi University, a Postgraduate Programme in Business Management from IILM, and has completed an Advanced Revenue Management Programme at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, further strengthening his expertise in hospitality commercial strategy.
