Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy TechVillage Outer Ring Road have appointed Dillip Mohanty as Cluster Purchase Manager. Mohanty brings 14 years of experience in hospitality procurement, material management and hotel pre-openings to the role.
His career includes procurement responsibilities with Conrad Bengaluru, Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Regenta One and Royal Orchid Hotels. His experience spans vendor development, supplier negotiations, contract finalisation, inventory management, budgeting and cost control, as well as specialised procurement requirements associated with hotel projects.
The move highlights Hilton’s focus on leadership, contributing to activity across leadership appointments in hospitality.
To Lead Cluster Procurement
As Cluster Purchase Manager, Mohanty will oversee procurement responsibilities supporting the Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru operations. His experience covers both day-to-day hotel procurement and sourcing requirements connected with pre-opening and project environments.
His responsibilities will draw on his background in supplier management, tenders, negotiations, inventory and cost control.
14 Years in Hospitality Procurement
Mohanty has served as Purchase Manager at Conrad Bengaluru since 2018. His time with the property has provided experience in managing procurement requirements within a major hotel operation.
Before Conrad Bengaluru, he held procurement roles with Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Regenta One and Royal Orchid Hotels. These assignments developed his experience across purchasing, material management and supplier relationships within the hospitality sector.
Experience Across Hotel Projects and Operations
Mohanty’s professional background includes vendor development, tenders and contract finalisation, supplier negotiations, inventory management, budgeting and cost control.
He has also worked on EPCG and duty-free procurement, customs clearance and project sourcing. These areas have provided experience with procurement requirements that extend beyond routine hotel purchasing and into project-related activities.
His exposure to pre-opening environments further adds an understanding of sourcing requirements during the establishment and development of hotel operations.
