Fortune Hotels, part of the ITC Hotels Group, has appointed Somusundaram S as General Manager of Fortune Hosur. With more than 27 years of experience in the hotel industry, Somusundaram brings a career spanning hotel operations, business transformation, revenue management, pre-openings and turnarounds.
He joins Fortune Hosur from Skylar Hotel, Tirupati, where he served as General Manager & Business Head. In his new role, he will oversee the hotel’s operations and business performance, drawing on extensive experience across multiple hospitality brands and operating environments.

Somusundaram brings more than 27 years of experience across the hospitality sector. Before joining Fortune Hotels, he served as General Manager & Business Head at Skylar Hotel, Tirupati, where he was responsible for hotel performance and business operations.
His career includes experience with The Oberoi Group, Taj Hotels, MSC/Celebrity Cruises, Lemon Tree Hotels, Royal Orchid Hotels and Starlit Suites. His professional journey has covered a range of hotel and hospitality operating environments.
Experience in Pre-Openings and Turnarounds
A key part of Somusundaram’s career has been exposure to hotel pre-openings, business transformation and turnaround assignments. These experiences have provided him with an understanding of the operational requirements involved in establishing, repositioning and improving hotel performance.
