The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has appointed Simran Bhargava as Deputy Manager – Guest Services following the completion of her training at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD). Her appointment follows a structured training programme focused on guest service management and hotel operations.
Bhargava joined OCLD in 2023 and completed the Guest Service Management Associate programme, gaining training exposure across The Oberoi, New Delhi, Wildflower Hall, Shimla, Trident Nariman Point and other properties. She also brings previous operational experience as a Guest Service Associate at The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur.
The addition highlights the hospitality sector’s leadership focus, aligning with leadership appointments in hospitality.
To Support Guest Services Operations
In her new role, Bhargava will support Guest Services operations, with responsibilities covering guest relations, service standards and coordination of front-of-house activities.
Her role will involve supporting the delivery of guest services while coordinating front-of-house functions and maintaining service standards. Her training across multiple Oberoi properties provides exposure to different hotel operating environments and guest service requirements.
Training Through OCLD
Bhargava joined the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development in 2023, where she undertook the Guest Service Management Associate programme.
As part of the programme, she received training exposure at The Oberoi, New Delhi, Wildflower Hall, Shimla, Trident Nariman Point and other properties within the group.
The training provided experience across guest service management and hotel operations, building on her earlier exposure to front-of-house functions.
Experience Across Leading Indian Hotel Brands
Before and during the early stages of her hospitality career, Bhargava gained experience through roles and internships with Icon Hotels by Bhagini Hospitality, Taj Hotels, ITC and Rambagh Palace.
She also worked as a Guest Service Associate at The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur, gaining direct experience in guest services and hotel operations.
Her professional background has therefore included guest engagement, front-of-house operations and broader hotel service functions across several established hospitality brands.
Focus on Guest Relations and Service Standards
Bhargava’s new responsibilities will centre on guest relations and service delivery, while also supporting the coordination of front-of-house activities.
Her experience through OCLD and previous hotel assignments has provided exposure to guest engagement and operational processes, which will contribute to her responsibilities as Deputy Manager – Guest Services.
Building on OCLD Training
Bhargava’s appointment follows the completion of her OCLD training and represents the next stage of her progression within The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts.
With experience gained through structured training and assignments across multiple properties, she will now take on a dedicated Guest Services leadership role focused on guest relations, service standards and front-of-house coordination.
