Taj Palace Lucknow has appointed Ranjeet Yadav as Director of Human Resources, adding an experienced hospitality HR professional to its leadership team. Yadav brings more than 17 years of experience in human resources, with the majority of his career developed within the Taj Hotels ecosystem across multiple properties in India.
Before taking up his new role, Yadav served as Human Resources Manager at Taj Mahal Lucknow from April to August 2026. His career with Taj Hotels also includes leadership positions at Taj Lakefront Bhopal and Taj Hotel and Convention Centre, Agra, along with an extended tenure at The Taj Mahal Palace hotel in the Greater Delhi area.
Extensive Experience Across Taj Hotels
Yadav has built his career around hospitality human resources, with experience spanning HR operations, people management, employee engagement and talent development. His progression through different Taj properties has provided exposure to varied hotel environments and workforce requirements.
His most recent position was Human Resources Manager at Taj Mahal Lucknow, where he served from April to August 2026. The role preceded his appointment as Director of Human Resources at Taj Palace Lucknow, also in Lucknow.
Leadership at Taj Lakefront Bhopal
Prior to returning to Lucknow, Yadav spent nearly five years as Human Resources Manager at Taj Lakefront Bhopal. He held the position from June 2021 to March 2026, leading the property’s HR function during the period.
His responsibilities included managing key human resources activities, supporting employee engagement and talent development, and overseeing HR operations within the hotel environment. The tenure further strengthened his experience in managing people-related functions within a major hospitality operation.
Earlier Role at Taj Hotel and Convention Centre, Agra
From November 2019 to May 2021, Yadav served as Human Resources Manager at Taj Hotel and Convention Centre, Agra. The role added another significant property to his experience within the Taj Hotels portfolio.
His work during this period continued to centre on hospitality HR and people management, building on his earlier experience and preparing him for subsequent HR leadership responsibilities.
Long Association with Taj Hotels
Yadav began his long association with Taj Hotels in 2008 when he joined The Taj Mahal Palace hotel as Assistant Manager – HR. He subsequently spent more than 11 years in the Greater Delhi area, establishing a substantial foundation in hotel human resources before moving into HR management positions across other Taj properties.
The extended tenure provided exposure to different aspects of hospitality HR, including employee engagement, talent development, people management and operational HR functions. His progression from an Assistant Manager – HR role to senior HR leadership positions reflects a career developed largely within the same hospitality group.
Focus on Human Resources Leadership at Taj Palace Lucknow
As Director of Human Resources at Taj Palace Lucknow, Yadav will lead the hotel’s human resources function, with his experience spanning employee engagement, talent development, people management and HR operations forming the foundation of his new responsibilities.
His appointment also brings continuity from his recent experience in Lucknow, following his tenure as Human Resources Manager at Taj Mahal Lucknow. The move places him in a senior HR leadership role within the city’s Taj Hotels portfolio.
With more than 17 years in hospitality HR and experience across multiple Taj properties, Yadav’s career has been closely aligned with the people and organisational requirements of the hotel industry. His new position at Taj Palace Lucknow adds another step to that progression, with responsibility for the property’s human resources function and people-related initiatives.
