Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its presence in India’s fast-growing leisure tourism sector with the opening of D Square Statue of Unity Kevadia, a member of Radisson Individuals, the group said Monday.
The 91-room hotel is located in Ekta Nagar, near Gujarat’s Statue of Unity. It offers guests panoramic views of the statue, valley and the upcoming Tribal Museum.
“With the opening of D Square Statue of Unity Kevadia, we further strengthen our footprint in Gujarat, one of India’s fastest-growing tourism corridors,” said Nikhil Sharma, managing director and chief operating officer for South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group. He added the property blends “local character and modern hospitality” aligned with regional tourism development.
The hotel is a strategic part of Radisson’s growth strategy in emerging Indian destinations.
D Square Statue of Unity Kevadia offers easy access to top attractions such as Ekta Mall, the jungle safari, Children Nutrition Park and the Narmada riverfront. It is close to Ekta Nagar Railway Station. The hotel also includes EV charging, car rentals and various guest amenities.
The hotel features world-class event spaces, including the Silver Pavilion for weddings and conferences and the Sapphire for smaller meetings. Dining options are led by Sankalp All Day Dining, offering a vegetarian multi-cuisine menu.
“Radisson Hotel Group remains closely aligned with the government’s vision for Ekta Nagar, which is rapidly evolving into a model tourism and smart city destination,” Sharma said.
Shivalik Goenka, project co-owner, said the hotel is “a tribute to the spirit of Gujarat.” General Manager Fakruddin Khan added the team is focused on delivering a “warm, welcoming experience” rooted in regional culture.
The opening supports government efforts to promote Kevadia as a major tourist hub. The area recorded more than 5.1 million visitors in 2023, compared with 2.7 million in 2019, according to developers.
Radisson said half of its Indian properties are in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It now has about 200 hotels in operation or development.
The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue at 182 meters, attracting millions of tourists annually.
Through this launch, Radisson aims to provide high quality accommodation and services in strategic leisure destinations, complementing local infrastructure and tourism initiatives.
