Belgian Coast & City Hotels has announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe De Haes as the new General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Brussels Airport. His mandate also includes oversight of the hotel’s Brasserie Horizon and Parking21 operations, placing him in charge of a broad, integrated hospitality offering serving both business and transit travellers.
The appointment reflects the group’s focus on strengthening leadership at one of its strategically important properties, located at the gateway to Brussels.

Twenty-five years of international hospitality experience
Jean-Philippe brings 25 years of international hospitality experience spanning Europe, Asia, and the United States. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles with globally recognised hospitality groups including Accor, Hilton, and Marriott.
His exposure to diverse markets and operating models has shaped a leadership style that balances operational rigour with commercial agility, particularly relevant in high-traffic airport hotel environments.
Multi-disciplinary leadership across hotel functions
Jean-Philippe’s career is distinguished by its breadth. He has held leadership responsibilities across general management, finance, operations, and commercial functions, giving him a comprehensive understanding of hotel performance from both strategic and on-ground perspectives.
In addition, he has successfully led three hotel openings in Bali, Bangkok, and Brussels, experiences that have strengthened his expertise in pre-opening planning, brand implementation, and team mobilisation in complex, multicultural settings.
