Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe has appointed Shannon Schwier as General Manager. She joins the property following her most recent position as Opening Resort Manager at Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, bringing extensive experience in luxury hotel operations, pre-openings and rooms leadership.
Schwier has built her Four Seasons career across properties in the United States and international markets, progressing from Director of Housekeeping to senior hotel management positions. Her background includes operational leadership at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale and Naples Beach Club, alongside task force assignments across the portfolio.
The appointment strengthens the hospitality sector’s team, contributing to hospitality leadership updates.
To Lead Resort Operations
As General Manager, Schwier will oversee operations at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe, with responsibility for guest experience, team leadership and continued operational performance.
Her experience in both established properties and pre-opening environments will support the resort’s operational priorities. She will lead the team while maintaining focus on service delivery and the overall guest experience.
Progression Across Four Seasons Properties
Schwier began her Four Seasons career in 2013 as Director of Housekeeping at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. She later progressed to Director of Rooms at the property.
In 2015, she undertook an international assignment at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, adding international operational experience to her career.
She was appointed Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown in 2018. In 2021, she moved to Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale as Opening Hotel Manager, where she was involved in the property’s opening phase.
Experience in Pre-Opening and Resort Operations
In 2025, Schwier joined Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, as Opening Resort Manager. Her responsibilities included supporting the resort’s pre-opening and operational development.
Her wider Four Seasons experience includes interim and task force assignments at properties including The Surf Club, Anguilla, Philadelphia, Beverly Wilshire and Nashville.
She has also been involved in several corporate initiatives during her tenure with the company, adding exposure beyond individual property operations.
Leadership Across Rooms and Housekeeping
Schwier’s career progression has covered several core areas of hotel operations, beginning with housekeeping before moving into rooms leadership and broader hotel management.
Her experience in pre-openings has also given her exposure to the operational requirements involved in launching and developing luxury hotel and resort properties.
This combination of rooms expertise, operational management and pre-opening experience will inform her leadership at Rancho Encantado Santa Fe.

Schwier’s appointment brings extensive Four Seasons operational experience to Rancho Encantado Santa Fe.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy with a minor in Music from the University of Indianapolis and has also completed professional development certifications through Cornell University. Her experience across rooms operations, hotel management and pre-opening assignments will support her new responsibilities as General Manager.
