Flavius Chettiar has been appointed Director of Operations at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield. In this role, Flavius Chettiar will oversee hotel operations and coordinate functions across departments to strengthen service standards and operational performance at the property.
Senior Leadership Role to Drive Operational Performance
As Director of Operations, Flavius Chettiar will supervise day-to-day hotel functions while supporting strategic initiatives aligned with Marriott International’s operating standards. His responsibilities include strengthening service delivery across departments and ensuring operational alignment across rooms, food and beverage, banquets and guest experience functions.
The appointment reinforces Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield’s focus on operational discipline and consistent guest service delivery in a competitive hospitality market.

Over Fifteen Years of Hospitality Experience
Flavius Chettiar brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience across several luxury hotel brands. His background includes expertise in food and beverage strategy, operational planning, team leadership and large-scale hospitality management.
Before joining Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Flavius Chettiar served as Director of Food & Beverage at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. In that role, he led departmental performance and guest engagement initiatives while introducing new dining concepts across multiple outlets.
His portfolio included managing prominent outlets such as Seasonal Tastes, Prego & Pronto, Eighteen Lounge and Kangan, along with in-room dining and banquet operations.
Experience Across Leading Luxury Hospitality Brands
Earlier in his career, Flavius Chettiar worked as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, overseeing operations at the flagship 350-room property.
He also held leadership positions at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, including assignments at Trident Bandra Kurla, where he progressed through roles such as Food & Beverage Service Manager and Banquet Manager.
His international exposure includes working at The Oberoi Marrakech during its pre-opening phase, where he assisted in setting up food and beverage systems and training operational teams according to brand standards.
