More Than Two Decades Across Hospitality and Service Industries
Bindra’s professional career spans more than 20 years across hospitality and service-oriented businesses. His experience includes leadership assignments with American Express, Kingfisher Airlines, The Oberoi Group and Marriott International.
His earlier associations with American Express and Kingfisher Airlines contributed to his experience in customer-facing service environments, while his subsequent hospitality career developed across hotel operations, commercial performance and leadership responsibilities.
At The Oberoi Group, he gained experience within the luxury hospitality sector. His career later included senior leadership responsibilities with Marriott International, where he worked across hotel operations, business performance and team development.
Most recently, Bindra held leadership positions with Marriott International, overseeing operational and commercial functions while developing teams responsible for delivering hotel performance and guest satisfaction.
His experience across different service environments and hotel operating models provides a broad foundation for his new responsibilities at Accor, where he will oversee a portfolio rather than an individual property.
Industry Recognition for Hotel Leadership
Bindra’s contribution to the hospitality industry has been recognised through several awards across hotel operations and general management.
In 2026, he received the General Manager of the Year – Upper Upscale recognition at the BW Hotelier Awards. He was also named General Manager of the Year at the FHRAI Annual Convention in 2025.
His earlier recognition includes General Manager of the Year at the Hotelier India Awards in 2022 and General Manager of the Year – Consumer Operations at the Marriott APEC Conference in 2021.
These recognitions form part of his professional background as he transitions from hotel leadership assignments into a broader brand and portfolio management position with Accor.
Strengthening the ibis and ibis Styles Portfolio
The appointment comes as Accor continues to develop ibis and ibis Styles across India’s hospitality market.
Both brands serve different traveller requirements while operating within the broader economy hotel segment. ibis focuses on reliable and accessible hospitality, while ibis Styles combines accommodation with a distinctive design-led approach.
India’s domestic travel and business travel markets are important areas of opportunity for these brands. Their expansion across established cities and emerging destinations creates a need for consistent operational performance, effective commercial strategies and strong relationships with hotel owners and partners.
Bindra’s responsibilities will include working with the portfolio’s leadership teams to strengthen financial and operational performance while ensuring that the guest experience remains consistent with each brand’s proposition.
His experience in commercial management and hotel operations will also support the brands’ development as Accor expands its footprint across India.
