Accor has appointed Fadeel Wehbe as Managing Director for Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems in Saudi Arabia, expanding his remit across the group’s luxury portfolio in the Kingdom.
Wehbe will take on the Kingdom-wide responsibility alongside his existing position as Managing Director of Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre. In the expanded role, he will support the strategic direction, development and performance of the four brands, working with hotel leadership teams, owners and partners across Saudi Arabia.
Expanded Luxury Brand Leadership
Wehbe’s new mandate covers Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems across the Saudi Arabian market. His responsibilities will include working with property leadership teams and ownership partners on brand positioning, operational performance and guest experience.
The role also requires maintaining the distinct identity and positioning of each brand while supporting their development within the Kingdom’s hospitality market.
Continuing Leadership at Sofitel Riyadh
Alongside his expanded responsibilities, Wehbe will continue as Managing Director of Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre. His existing operational role provides continuity as he takes on the wider responsibility for Accor’s luxury brands in Saudi Arabia.
His experience in the Saudi market and hotel operations will form part of his remit as he works across the group’s existing properties and upcoming developments.
Luxury Portfolio Development in Saudi Arabia
The appointment comes as Accor continues to develop its luxury hospitality portfolio across Saudi Arabia. Several projects under Wehbe’s remit are planned across key destinations in the Kingdom.
Sofitel Jabal Omar Makkah is scheduled to open later this year, adding the Sofitel brand to Accor’s growing presence in Makkah.
The group is also developing Abraj Omar Hotel & Residences Makkah – MGallery Collection and Sofitel Serviced Residences Riyadh, both of which are scheduled to open in 2029.
Supporting Brand and Operational Performance
In his Kingdom-wide role, Wehbe will work across brand development and hotel performance while engaging with owners, partners and hotel leadership teams. The remit covers operational performance and guest experience alongside the strategic development of the brands.
The four brands bring different positioning within Accor’s luxury portfolio, making brand-specific identity an important part of the role as the group expands its presence in Saudi Arabia.
Accor’s Luxury Growth in the Kingdom
Wehbe’s expanded appointment adds to Accor’s leadership structure in Saudi Arabia as the group develops its Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery and Emblems portfolio.
With projects in both Riyadh and Makkah forming part of the development pipeline, his role will combine market leadership with his continued responsibility for Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre.
