The role brings together several areas of hotel commercial management, requiring alignment between revenue generation, distribution, brand activity, customer engagement and business partnerships.
Leadership Experience with Marriott International
Before joining Accor, Khattar served as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah. Prior to that, he held several senior leadership positions with Marriott International.
His Marriott career included serving as General Manager of JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity and taking on a multi-property General Manager role in Dubai. These assignments provided experience in hotel operations and leadership across different markets and property structures.
Khattar’s Marriott experience also includes leadership assignments across brands such as The St. Regis, Delta Hotels and Marriott Residences. His roles across these brands added exposure to different hotel segments and operating models.
Earlier Career Across Hyatt and the UAE

These positions combined hotel operations with commercial leadership, giving him experience in sales, business development, market strategy and property performance.
His career in the Middle East also includes experience with Atlantis The Palm and Grand Hyatt Dubai. At Grand Hyatt Dubai, his responsibilities included sales, business development, MICE and commercial strategy.
International Hospitality Experience
Khattar’s career has extended across India, the Middle East, Africa and the United Kingdom, providing exposure to different hospitality markets and business environments.
His professional experience covers both property-level operations and broader commercial responsibilities. This includes hotel leadership, sales and marketing, business development, MICE and strategic partnerships.
The combination of these functions has shaped a career focused on connecting hotel operations with commercial objectives across international markets.
Focus on Sales and Revenue Management
At Accor, Khattar’s responsibilities will include oversight of sales and revenue management across South Asia. These functions will form part of the group’s broader commercial strategy for the region.
His remit will also cover marketing and digital distribution, bringing customer acquisition, market communication and distribution channels into the wider commercial framework.
The role will require coordination across these functions to support the commercial performance of Accor’s hotel portfolio and its individual markets.
Partnerships and Commercial Transformation
Partnership development will be another component of Khattar’s new responsibilities. He will work with hotel owners and business partners as part of Accor’s regional commercial strategy.
His remit also includes commercial transformation initiatives, which will involve supporting changes in the way commercial functions work across the group’s South Asia operations.
