Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened Vienna House by Wyndham Istanbul Bahçelievler, marking the brand’s debut in Türkiye and expanding Wyndham’s presence in the country to 12 brands. The 114-room property operates under a franchise agreement with ARES İstanbul Turizm.
The opening strengthens Wyndham’s position as Türkiye’s largest international hotel franchisor by property count, with approximately 140 hotels nationwide, including more than 40 in Istanbul. It also introduces another lifestyle hospitality option in a market supported by international tourism and business travel.
Vienna House Makes Its Türkiye Debut in Istanbul
Vienna House by Wyndham Istanbul Bahçelievler introduces the brand’s European-inspired hospitality concept to Istanbul, combining contemporary design with local influences.
The opening follows Vienna House’s expansion beyond Europe, including its recent entry into Vietnam. Its portfolio includes properties in European destinations such as Berlin and Amsterdam.
Located on Istanbul’s European side, the new hotel provides access to Istanbul Airport, the Istanbul Expo Centre and commercial districts along the Basin Ekspres corridor.
The property is positioned to serve business travellers, leisure visitors and guests requiring extended accommodation.
New Hotel Features 114 Rooms and Wellness Facilities
Vienna House by Wyndham Istanbul Bahçelievler offers 114 guestrooms across several categories, including Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites and two accessible rooms.
The accommodation portfolio also includes 65-square-metre Vienna Suites featuring separate living areas.
The hotel’s food and beverage offering centres on Vienna Restaurant, which serves international cuisine and accommodates approximately 130 guests.
Business facilities include a meeting room with capacity for up to 30 participants.
Wellness amenities comprise a fitness centre and spa with a traditional Turkish bath, sauna, steam room and seven treatment rooms.
Wyndham Highlights Türkiye’s Hospitality Growth
Arcan Bayraktaroğlu, Country Director for Türkiye at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said:
“The opening of Vienna House in Istanbul reflects both the strength and growing sophistication of Türkiye’s hospitality market, as well as our confidence in its long-term future. As the country’s largest international hotel company, we are proud to be growing alongside Türkiye’s tourism success, expanding our portfolio with brands that meet the evolving needs of travellers and hotel owners. Vienna House is perfectly suited to Istanbul, a city that inspires curiosity, discovery and cultural connection at every turn, and further broadens the choice available as demand grows for more experience-led hospitality, while giving our owners more choice and our guests more ways to experience Wyndham.”
The opening comes as Istanbul continues attracting substantial international visitor traffic. The city received nearly 20 million international visitors in 2025, according to figures referenced in the announcement.
ARES İstanbul Turizm Expands Its Wyndham Partnership
The new property strengthens Wyndham’s relationship with ARES İstanbul Turizm, which began in 2019 with the opening of La Quinta by Wyndham Istanbul Güneşli, the first La Quinta hotel outside the Americas.
ARES İstanbul Turizm also owns and operates Days Inn by Wyndham Istanbul Bomonti.
Tamer Çiçek, CEO of ARES İstanbul Turizm, said:
“Vienna House and Istanbul are a natural fit, bringing together the brand’s distinctive European style and the energy of one of Türkiye’s most dynamic cities. This opening represents another important step in our strong relationship with Wyndham and gives us the opportunity to introduce a different lifestyle concept to the Istanbul market. We look forward to welcoming both domestic and international travellers and building on our experience operating Wyndham hotels in the city.”
Wyndham Plans Further Expansion Across Türkiye
Wyndham currently operates approximately 140 hotels across Türkiye, with around 40 additional properties in development.
Its portfolio covers economy, midscale, upscale and lifestyle segments across urban and leisure destinations.
The new Vienna House property also participates in Wyndham Rewards, the company’s global loyalty programme, which has approximately 129 million enrolled members.
The Istanbul opening adds another brand to Wyndham’s Turkish portfolio while extending its partnership with an established local franchisee.
