Sachin Patil has been appointed as Director of Engineering at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune. The appointment strengthens the hotel’s leadership team with a seasoned engineering professional who brings over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality operations and facilities management.
In his new role, Sachin Patil will oversee the hotel’s entire engineering function, ensuring adherence to safety standards, operational efficiency and sustainability benchmarks. He will supervise preventive maintenance systems, guide infrastructure planning and lead initiatives designed to enhance long-term asset performance.

Engineering Leadership to Drive Operational Excellence
As Director of Engineering, Sachin Patil will manage the property’s engineering ecosystem, including building systems, utilities and maintenance operations. His mandate includes reinforcing preventive maintenance frameworks, optimising resource utilisation and supporting sustainability-driven upgrades across the hotel.
His approach combines technical discipline with operational oversight, ensuring infrastructure reliability that supports uninterrupted guest experiences.
Brings Over Two Decades of Hospitality Engineering Experience
Sachin Patil joins The Ritz-Carlton, Pune after serving as Chief Engineer at Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi. During his tenure there, he led several infrastructure enhancement projects, including the installation of an EV charging station and a bottling plant, deployment of high-efficiency chillers and diesel generators, and the complete conversion of the hotel’s lighting systems to 100 percent LED with dimmer controls.
He also directed improvements in water treatment systems and kitchen infrastructure, contributing to improved operational performance and a reduced carbon footprint.
Over the course of his career, Sachin Patil has handled pre-opening projects and large-scale engineering initiatives across domestic and international hospitality markets. His expertise spans building management systems, HVAC, electrical and mechanical engineering, plumbing operations and vendor management. He is recognised for implementing structured preventive maintenance systems and cost optimisation strategies within luxury hotel environments.
