PAUL, the iconic French bakery and café brand with a heritage spanning over 137 years, has entered the Bengaluru market with the launch of its first outlet at Orion Gateway Mall. The opening marks PAUL’s eighth location in India and extends its presence into one of the country’s most dynamic food and lifestyle cities.

Bringing French café culture to Bengaluru

Founded in France in 1889, PAUL is globally recognised for its artisanal breads, viennoiseries, pâtisserie, and classic French café traditions. With operations across 57 countries, the brand has built a reputation for authenticity, craftsmanship, and a refined yet approachable dining experience. Its Bengaluru debut brings this legacy to the city, offering guests an immersive European café environment rooted in tradition.

Situated along the lakeside promenade at Orion Gateway Mall, the café has been designed with an elegant, alfresco-inspired layout reminiscent of Parisian street cafés. The setting is positioned as a versatile destination, catering to leisurely breakfasts, casual coffee meetings, weekend brunches, and quiet moments of indulgence.

A menu anchored in French classics and European comfort

The Bengaluru outlet showcases PAUL’s signature French offerings, including croque monsieur, quiche Lorraine, savoury crêpes, and canelés, alongside the brand’s celebrated range of artisan breads, flaky viennoiseries, tarts, and pastries. These classics form the foundation of PAUL’s culinary identity and reflect its commitment to time-honoured techniques.

Complementing the French repertoire is a curated selection of European-inspired dishes such as Napoletana pizzas, tartines, handmade pastas, risottos, fresh salads, wholesome bowls, and gourmet sandwiches. All menu items are prepared using premium ingredients sourced from trusted partners in India and abroad.

PAUL continues to follow strict clean-label standards, ensuring that its offerings are made without palm oil, artificial colours, or additives, reinforcing the brand’s focus on mindful indulgence.

Leadership perspective on the Bengaluru launch

Commenting on the brand’s expansion into the city, David Yang, Chief Executive Officer, PAUL APAC, said,

“Rooted in France and shaped over 137 years, PAUL embodies the French art de vivre through time-honoured craftsmanship and authenticity. Today, with a presence across 57 countries, Bengaluru becomes part of that enduring journey.”

Sharing insights on the India growth strategy, Vaibhav Kaushish, Chief Operating Officer, PAUL India, said,

“A significant milestone in PAUL’s India journey. We are thrilled to open our first outlet in Bengaluru at Orion Gateway Mall, a significant milestone in PAUL’s India journey. At PAUL, we remain committed to using only the finest ingredients, free from palm oil, artificial colours, and additives. Guided by our philosophy of Eat Well Live Well, we champion wellness, sustainability, and mindful indulgence. Our core offerings, such as hot chocolate, pain au chocolat, viennoiseries, and croissants, continue to define the brand’s authentic appeal. We look forward to sharing the joy of French culinary excellence with Bengaluru one croissant at a time.”

    Strengthening PAUL’s footprint in India

PAUL’s arrival in Bengaluru builds on its existing presence in Mumbai and Delhi, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to delivering a consistent French and European café experience across markets. Guests can expect the same authentic recipes, artisanal craftsmanship, and welcoming premium dining environment that define PAUL globally.

With its first Bengaluru outlet now operational, PAUL continues to expand thoughtfully in India, bringing its century-old French heritage to new audiences while staying true to its philosophy of quality, authenticity, and refined café living.
