Hyatt Hotels Corporation has appointed Mark S. Hoplamazian as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2026.
Mark S. Hoplamazian has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation since December 2006 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since November 2006.
With this appointment, Mark S. Hoplamazian assumes the additional role of Chairman while continuing to lead the company’s executive operations.

Career Progression Within Hyatt and The Pritzker Organization
Before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Mark S. Hoplamazian served as President of The Pritzker Organization, LLC (TPO), the principal financial and investment advisor to certain Pritzker family business interests.
During his 17-year tenure with TPO, Mark S. Hoplamazian acted as advisor to various Pritzker family-owned companies, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation and its predecessors. His earlier professional experience includes work in international mergers and acquisitions at The First Boston Corporation in New York.
Board Memberships and Industry Leadership Roles
Beyond Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Mark S. Hoplamazian serves as a Director on the Board of VF Corporation and is a member of its Talent & Compensation and Finance committees.
He also serves on the Executive Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Board of Directors of Brand USA, and the Executive Committee of the World Travel & Tourism Council.
In addition, Mark S. Hoplamazian is a member of the World Bank’s Private Sector Investment Lab and the Executive Committee of the Board of World Business Chicago. He serves as Chairman of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Institute, and is a member of the Discovery Class of the Henry Crown Fellow.
