Palette by CheckIn City Centre-Amritsar, a property managed through PRISM, has appointed Mukul Kapoor as General Manager, effective September 2026. Based in Amritsar, Punjab, Kapoor will oversee the property’s overall operations, with responsibilities spanning revenue management, business development, guest experience and team leadership.
Kapoor brings more than eight years of hospitality experience, having progressed through front office and operations roles into senior hotel leadership. His career has covered hotel operations, rooms, restaurants and banquet functions, along with revenue generation, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and business development.
The addition strengthens PRISM’s leadership team, aligning with trends in executive movements in hotels.
Mukul Kapoor Takes Charge as General Manager
In his new position, Kapoor will be responsible for the overall functioning of Palette by CheckIn City Centre-Amritsar. His remit includes maintaining operational standards, managing financial and revenue performance, supporting business development and ensuring consistent guest service.
The role also involves leading cross-functional teams and aligning day-to-day operations with the property’s business objectives. His experience across multiple operational functions provides a broad foundation for managing the hotel’s rooms, restaurant and banquet operations.
Experience Across Hotel Operations and Leadership
Kapoor’s professional journey began with Lords Eco Inn Hotel, Amritsar, where he worked as a Front Office Executive. He subsequently progressed to Duty Manager and then Front Office Manager, gaining experience in guest relations, front office operations and service delivery.
He later moved into an Operations Manager position with Lords Eco Inn Hotel, taking on a wider operational mandate. The role expanded his exposure to hotel-wide operations, team management, service standards and commercial performance.
Kapoor then joined Comfort Hotel by Choice Hotels, Amritsar, as Operations Manager, followed by a similar leadership role at Dew Drop Hotels Amritsar, where he handled sales and operations. These positions further broadened his experience across business development, revenue generation and property operations.
He subsequently moved to Ramee Group of Hotels & Apartments in Amritsar, where he took on General Manager and operations leadership responsibilities. His work at the group added to his experience in managing overall hotel performance, commercial functions and cross-functional teams.
Most recently, Kapoor returns to Palette by CheckIn City Centre-Amritsar, this time as General Manager, following his earlier experience with the property and PRISM.
Focus on Revenue, Operations and Business Development
Across his career, Kapoor has worked across several functions that contribute directly to hotel performance. His experience includes financial and revenue management, forecasting, budgeting and cost control, alongside sales and business development.
His operational responsibilities have extended across rooms, restaurants and banquet operations. This combination of operational and commercial exposure is also reflected in his progression from front office roles to broader property leadership positions.
As General Manager, Kapoor will bring these areas together with a focus on operational strategy, team leadership, guest satisfaction and service standards. His experience in revenue generation and business development will also support the property’s commercial objectives.
Recognition and Industry Engagement
Kapoor’s professional progression has been accompanied by recognition for his operational performance. In April 2023, he received the Operation Manager of the Year Award for his performance in the role.
He also attended the GM’s Conclave of Lords Hotels & Resorts in 2023, providing exposure to industry leadership discussions. In 2026, he attended the Annual Leadership Meet of Ramee Group of Hotels & Apartments.
These engagements complement his hands-on experience across hotel operations and leadership roles in Amritsar.
Education and Professional Foundation
Kapoor holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Lords Institute of Management, Surat, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab.
He completed his higher secondary education in Commerce from D.A.V. School, Amritsar, and his senior secondary education at Hindu Sabha School, Amritsar.
His academic background in hotel management and business administration has supported a career that has increasingly moved towards broader operational and general management responsibilities.
