    IHCL Signs 108-key Claridges Collection Hotel in Lucknow

    Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of Claridges Collection, Lucknow, marking the entry of the brand into the Uttar Pradesh capital. The project will be developed as a brownfield hospitality project and will further strengthen IHCL’s presence in the city.

    With this addition, IHCL will have a total of 11 hotels in Lucknow, including six under development, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in key North Indian destinations.

    IHCL expands brand presence in Lucknow

    The new hotel will be located on Lohia Path in Lucknow and will operate under the Claridges Collection brand, a portfolio known for distinctive heritage-inspired hospitality experiences.

    Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said:

    “Lucknow has evolved into one of North India’s most promising destinations, supported by the city’s cultural richness, improving infrastructure and rising commercial activity, enhancing its appeal for both business and leisure travellers. The addition of Claridges Collection, Lucknow will further strengthen IHCL’s brandscape in the city. We are pleased to continue our partnership with MD Projects Pvt. Ltd. with this project.”

    The signing reflects IHCL’s continued focus on expanding in emerging urban markets with strong cultural and commercial significance.

    Hotel design inspired by Awadhi heritage

    The 108-key Claridges Collection, Lucknow will be designed to reflect the city’s architectural heritage, drawing inspiration from the historic aesthetic of Awadh.

    The design approach aims to blend classical elements associated with the region with contemporary hospitality features, creating a property that reflects Lucknow’s traditional elegance alongside modern comfort.

    Dining, wellness and event facilities planned

    The upcoming hotel will feature multiple dining venues and guest facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a bar and a lobby lounge designed as a social gathering space.

    Guests will also have access to a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa, offering wellness and leisure experiences within the property.

    For meetings and events, the hotel will include meeting rooms and a banquet hall spanning over 4,000 square feet, supported by dedicated pre-function areas designed for conferences and social gatherings.

    Development partnership with Ladhani Group

    The project is being developed in partnership with MD Projects Pvt. Ltd., part of the Ladhani Group, which continues to collaborate with IHCL on hospitality developments.

    Speaking about the partnership, Saurabh Ladhani, Executive Director, Ladhani Group, said:

    “This project reflects our long-term commitment to creating landmark hospitality assets in North India. As part of the Ladhani Group, we remain focused on building enduring partnerships and delivering developments that combine scale, quality and vision.”

    Adding to this, Vivek Ladhani, MD Projects Private Limited, said:

    Lucknow continues to attract hospitality investment

    Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, continues to grow as a travel destination known for its classical arts, Awadhi cuisine and historic architecture.

    The city attracts visitors to landmarks such as Bara Imambara, Rumi Darwaza and the Hazratganj district, while improving infrastructure and commercial development continue to support tourism and business travel.

    With the signing of Claridges Collection, Lucknow, IHCL continues to expand its hospitality portfolio in the city while strengthening its presence across India’s cultural and commercial centres.
