Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Gaurav Thakur as the new General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island.
With over 20 years of experience within the Hilton portfolio, Gaurav has held leadership roles across Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts in the UK, India, and Maldives. His career includes significant contributions to the pre-opening and opening of iconic properties such as Conrad Pune, Conrad Bengaluru, and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, before taking on the role of General Manager at Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa.

In his new role, Gaurav will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, including commercial strategy, wellness, dining, and leisure experiences, with a focus on curating elevated guest journeys that reflect the Waldorf Astoria brand’s legacy of luxury.
