Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has entered into a strategic partnership with Anuprit Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to develop a new upscale hotel in Ayodhya, the companies said Friday. The greenfield Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Ayodhya Masodha is scheduled to open in 2028 and will include 120 guest rooms.
The planned property will offer amenities such as an all day dining restaurant, a spa, a swimming pool and extensive banquet and meeting facilities. It is designed to serve both religious pilgrims and business visitors in an increasingly busy region.
Aqeel Ahmed, director of Anuprit Solutions, said, “It is a privilege to bring the globally respected Ramada Plaza brand to Ayodhya in partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. With Ayodhya evolving into a major religious and cultural destination, we aim to provide world class accommodation and service that reflects both the city’s deep heritage and its modern growth story”.
Rahool Macarius, market managing director for Eurasia at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, added, “With Ayodhya emerging as a sought after pilgrimage and cultural hub, this new signing represents our continued investment in high potential markets. This marks our second hotel signing in the city and reflects our belief in Ayodhya’s growth trajectory and our intent to deliver exceptional stays where tradition and hospitality meet”.
Ayodhya, celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Ram, has seen a surge in religious tourism and infrastructure investment, including the new Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, improved road and rail connectivity, and riverfront development. Analysts say Wyndham’s new property supports its wider expansion in India’s tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts claims over 9,300 hotels and 907,000 rooms worldwide under 25 brands, serving more than 115 million Wyndham Rewards members. Its entry into Ayodhya continues the company’s push into emerging domestic markets.
The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Ayodhya Masodha will be managed by Anuprit Solutions and is located in Masodha, a rising tourism corridor. The property aims to support destination weddings and conference tourism with its banquet capacity and premium amenities.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the hotel reflects both a broader trend of upscale lodging in pilgrim destinations and Wyndham’s strategic focus on international-standard offerings outside India’s major metros.
