Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Thomas Krooswijk as the new General Manager of both Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus and Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet, entrusting him with leadership of two of the brand’s most iconic and culturally significant properties.
A Four Seasons Career Spanning More Than Two Decades
Thomas Krooswijk has been part of the Four Seasons family since 2001, beginning his journey at The Pierre in New York. Over the years, he has built a distinguished career within the brand, taking on senior leadership roles across multiple regions and consistently contributing to operational excellence and guest experience innovation.
His professional journey includes serving as Director of Food & Beverage at Beverly Wilshire, followed by Hotel Manager roles at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto and Four Seasons Hotel Amman. Most recently, he led Four Seasons Resort Marrakech as General Manager, where he oversaw a period of strong performance and guest engagement.

Leading Two Historic Properties in Istanbul
In his new role, Krooswijk will oversee operations at both Istanbul properties, each offering a distinct expression of the city’s heritage. Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus reflects Ottoman grandeur along the waterfront, while Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet is set within the city’s historic heart, surrounded by landmarks that define Istanbul’s cultural legacy.
His mandate includes strengthening operational alignment across both hotels while preserving their individual identities, enhancing guest experiences, and reinforcing Four Seasons’ standards of service, design, and personalised hospitality.
