Strategic Growth Framework
Tamara Leisure Experiences is structuring its expansion around sustainability, wellness and technology. The development approach prioritises destination-led planning, with each property designed to reflect its local cultural and geographic context.
The upcoming portfolio will include eco-luxury resorts, houseboats, farm retreats, business and leisure hotels, mid-segment properties and culturally oriented venues. The group has stated that supporting local economies will remain central to project development and operations.
Planned Launches Under the 2030 Vision
As part of its long-term roadmap, Tamara Leisure Experiences plans to introduce:
- The Tamara Kaziranga, positioned as a luxury eco-resort.
- The Tamara Alleppey, an uber-luxury houseboat experience focused on backwater hospitality.
- The Tamara Hosur, a farm resort shaped around agrarian landscapes and slow living.
Under the O by Tamara brand, new openings are planned in Bodh Gaya and Whitefield. The Lilac brand will expand to Velankanni, Kufri and Kannur. In Madurai, the group will enter the wedding segment with the launch of Kalyana Mandapam.
Eight of the projects will be developed through direct investment, while the Kufri property has been signed under the company’s first asset-light agreement.

Leadership Perspective
Commenting on the announcement, Samir MC, CEO Tamara Leisure Experiences, said:
“This phase of growth is rooted in Tamara’s foundation and is guided by three pillars. First, a destination-first lens that allows each property to emerge organically from its cultural and geographic context. Second, the thoughtful use of technology to enhance guest experiences, personalise journeys and enable seamless interactions across touchpoints. And third, a commitment to responsible hospitality, where sustainability is embedded into design, operations and long-term value creation.”
On the broader industry outlook and faith-led expansion, Samir MC added:
“The Indian hospitality industry is at a clear inflection point, supported by sustained policy impetus and rising demand from both domestic and international travellers. Alongside leisure and urban hospitality, where we already have a strong presence, we see a clear opportunity to deepen our footprint in core categories and selectively enter the faith-led segment, which industry estimates value at over USD 200 billion in India. While eight of the launches will be our own investment, we have also signed our first asset-light deal in Kufri. As we step into FY27, we are actively evaluating opportunities pan India across multiple segments.”
With this expansion roadmap, Tamara Leisure Experiences signals continued investment in diversified hospitality formats, regional growth markets, and destination-driven development across India.
