With over 1,400 villas and 15 boutique hotels in its portfolio, StayVista plans to expand its boutique hotel portfolio to 30 properties by FY27 and cross 100 hotels over the next three years.
StayVista Expands Beyond Villas into Boutique Hotels
India, 16 October 2026: StayVista, India’s largest villa hospitality brand, is accelerating its expansion beyond villas and holiday homes. With more than 1,400 luxury villas and over 15 boutique hotels in its portfolio, the company plans to increase its boutique hotel portfolio to 30 properties by the end of FY27.
Over the next three years, StayVista aims to cross 15,000 keys under management, comprising more than 2,500 luxury villas and over 100 boutique hotels.
The expansion comes as travel preferences in India continue to evolve. Travellers are increasingly seeking experience-led holidays, families are combining religious journeys with leisure, and couples are opting for shorter, more private romantic getaways. Weekend travel and short breaks are also becoming an important part of domestic tourism.
This development reflects the hospitality sector’s growing footprint within latest hotel openings.Three Hotel Brands to Address Different Travel Needs
StayVista is developing its hospitality portfolio through three hotel brands: Vaana, Sova and Gram’s, with properties designed around different destinations, travel occasions and guest requirements. Alongside its boutique hotels, the company has developed a resort portfolio under Vaana, which currently comprises eight properties.
Its hospitality presence spans destinations including Amritsar, Ujjain, Goa, Juhu, Lonavala, Kasauli, Lansdowne, Chakrata, Bir, Mahabaleshwar and Garh Mukteshwar. Further properties are in the pipeline across Alibaug, Goa, Chandigarh and Karjat.
The strategy reflects StayVista’s view that travellers increasingly prefer accommodation tailored to the purpose of their trip rather than a standard hotel experience.
Religious Tourism Creates Opportunities for Hospitality
For families travelling on religious occasions, accommodation is becoming an important part of the overall journey. StayVista’s presence in Ujjain, Amritsar and Garh Mukteshwar reflects the opportunity to serve this growing segment.
Ujjain is one of India’s important pilgrimage destinations, while Garh Mukteshwar, often referred to as the “Mini Haridwar”, is known for its temples, ghats and spiritual significance.
Beyond overnight accommodation, travellers are increasingly seeking comfortable stays that allow them to spend more time experiencing their destinations. This creates opportunities for hospitality operators to cater to families combining pilgrimage with leisure and extended stays.
Adventure and Urban Staycations Expand Resort Portfolio
Adventure travel is another area of focus for StayVista. Dreamation Resort in Bir is located in one of India’s well-known paragliding destinations, providing travellers with a base to explore outdoor activities while offering a quieter setting to return to after a day of adventure.
The company is also targeting demand for short city breaks. Vaana by the Sea in Juhu offers a beachside staycation within Mumbai, allowing guests to experience a slower pace without travelling outside the city. The property reflects how resort-style experiences are gaining relevance within major urban markets.
Romantic travel is also shifting towards shorter, more private and experience-led stays. Vee Resort in Mahabaleshwar caters to this segment with suites, pools, jacuzzis and a heart-shaped pool.
The upcoming Vaana Evara in Alibaug will further expand this offering through igloo-shaped private villas, two larger villas for groups, a restaurant and banquet space. Its proximity to Mumbai makes the property suitable for short romantic breaks, celebrations and group occasions.
StayVista Sees Changing Travel Preferences Driving Growth
Amit Damani, Co-founder, StayVista, said,
“The Indian traveller is changing, and hospitality needs to change with them. A business trip can now extend into a weekend, a family pilgrimage can become a larger family holiday, and a romantic getaway can be a two-night break rather than a long vacation.
“We see a significant opportunity in building hospitality around these different reasons to travel. We currently have 15 boutique hotels, and have a pipeline to take the boutique hotel portfolio to 30 by the end of FY27 and over 100 in the next three years. Vaana, Sova and Gram’s give us the ability to build different kinds of stays while keeping the properties connected to their destinations.”
Vaana, Sova and Gram’s: Three Distinct Hospitality Concepts
StayVista is building its boutique hotel portfolio around three brands, each catering to different travel preferences and destination experiences.
Vaana focuses on nature, tranquillity and slow living. Its eight resorts span mountain, coastal and leisure destinations, with properties including Vaana Lonavala, Sirmour Baag in Kasauli, Tatvam in Lansdowne, Vaana by the Sea in Juhu, Dreamation Resort in Bir, Aaradhyam Resort in Garh Mukteshwar and Vee Resort in Mahabaleshwar. Vaana Evara in Alibaug is the next addition to the portfolio.
Sova expands StayVista’s presence in destinations where culture, spirituality, leisure and business intersect. Its properties are designed to provide a more personalised hotel experience while remaining connected to the character of each destination.
Gram’s follows a community-led approach, with properties drawing on the identity, stories and culture of their locations.
Together, the three brands enable StayVista to develop hospitality offerings for different travel occasions without applying a uniform hotel format across every destination.
Building a Hospitality Business Beyond Villas
StayVista’s expansion into boutique hotels and resorts builds on its experience in operating and marketing leisure properties across India.
The company sees significant potential among independent hotels and resorts that have strong locations and products but could benefit from professional distribution, marketing, revenue management and operating systems. Its model involves bringing these capabilities to properties while retaining the characteristics that make each one relevant to its destination.
The current expansion pipeline includes Alibaug, Goa, Chandigarh and Chakrata, alongside other destinations under evaluation.
StayVista’s longer-term ambition is to cross 100 boutique hotels over the next three years, building a national hospitality network spanning leisure, spiritual, cultural, adventure and business destinations.
