Courtyard by Marriott Shillong has appointed Sharoni Sharma as General Manager, effective 23rd February 2026. The appointment places her at the helm of the only internationally branded hotel in Meghalaya’s capital.

Over 15 Years of Multi-Brand Hospitality Experience
Sharoni Sharma brings more than 15 years of experience across luxury and upscale hospitality brands in India. Her career includes leadership roles with The Leela Palace Jaipur, The Roseate, JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru and The Westin Goa.
Across these assignments, she has focused on operational performance, guest satisfaction metrics and team development initiatives. Her leadership track record includes driving efficiencies across departments and building high-performing teams aligned with brand standards.
Strategic Mandate in Shillong
In her new role, Sharoni Sharma will oversee overall hotel operations and commercial strategy at Courtyard by Marriott Shillong. Her focus will be on positioning the hotel as a preferred address for business travellers, leisure guests and social events in Northeast India.
Her leadership agenda centres on strengthening personalised guest experiences inspired by the region’s cultural warmth, enhancing operational performance across rooms, food and beverage and events, and reinforcing a people-first workplace culture.
Sharoni Sharma’s mandate includes supporting sustainable growth across key market segments while maintaining service consistency.
