Novotel Guwahati GS Road has appointed Nisha Rai as its new Housekeeping Manager, the hotel announced Wednesday.
Rai brings over a decade of experience in luxury and upscale hotel operations, specializing in housekeeping management, quality control and team development, according to a company statement. The graduate of Hotel Management from Nagaland began her career with renowned brands such as Taj Hotels, The Oberoi Group, Marriott International and Dubai World Trade Centre.
Before joining the Guwahati property, Rai served as Assistant Housekeeping Manager at Novotel Hyderabad Airport, where she led high‑performing teams, enforced brand standards and significantly enhanced guest satisfaction metrics.
General Manager Manmeet Singh welcomed Rai’s appointment, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Nisha Rai to the Novotel Guwahati family. Her strong operational expertise and commitment to service excellence make her a valuable addition to our leadership team. We are confident she will play a pivotal role in further enhancing our guest experience”.
In her role, Rai will oversee day‑to‑day housekeeping operations, ensure compliance with Accor brand standards, lead training programmes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to maintain the property’s cleanliness and ambience.
Rai’s installation aligns with Accor’s emphasis on upholding high standards and delivering exceptional guest service at its Novotel properties. The Guwahati hotel anticipates her leadership will strengthen the housekeeping team and elevate overall guest experience in the Northeast’s prominent business and leisure destination.
