MakeMyTrip has partnered with Premier Inn, the UK’s largest hotel chain, to add more than 900 properties to its offerings, significantly expanding accommodation options for Indian travellers visiting Britain.
Rajesh Magow, co‑founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, said “Over the past twelve months, we have pursued a focused strategy to deepen our international accommodation offerings across key hubs, particularly in long haul markets such as the UK, Europe, and the USA. These initiatives are beginning to show results, with a steady uptick in the value contribution of international stays on our platform. Our partnership with Premier Inn in the UK, one of the most preferred destinations for Indian travellers, is a key part of this strategy.”
Tim Sleep, Director of Sales & Distribution at Premier Inn, added “Connecting with MakeMyTrip is an exciting addition to our OTA partnerships and growth. It will drive increased awareness across India and surrounding markets for us, giving travelers even more opportunity to benefit from our unrivalled number of hotels across the UK, Germany and Ireland.”
Under the agreement, Premier Inn properties operated by Whitbread will now be bookable via MakeMyTrip. The chain is known for its standardized mid‑market offerings and value-driven lodging across the UK, Germany and Ireland. The addition of Premier Inn’s hotels is expected to enhance MakeMyTrip’s appeal to Indian guests seeking dependable, mid-tier stays abroad.
The move marks a strategic expansion of MakeMyTrip’s outbound hotel inventory. The company has added more than 2,000 directly contracted international hotels in over 50 cities across about 20 countries in the past year. The Premier Inn partnership builds on this effort to offer consistent lodging at scale in high-demand destinations.

MakeMyTrip positions itself as India’s travel super‑app, integrating multiple products and global content to attract both leisure and corporate segments. Magow described the firm’s aim to provide seamless access to reliable accommodation across destinations that rank among Indian travellers’ preferred choices.
Premier Inn dominates the UK budget hospitality sector with over 800 hotels currently operating and plans to expand further with up to 12,000 room additions. The brand’s consistent price‑value model makes it well suited to Indian travellers accustomed either to economy or mid-range international stays.
Through this collaboration, MakeMyTrip gains access to Premier Inn’s network of properties across key cities in the UK. For Indian customers, the integration adds trusted options for mid-market accommodation backed by Whitbread’s operational standards.
As tourists and business travellers from India increasingly look abroad, predictable hotel quality and pricing become more important. The strategic partnership is expected to strengthen MakeMyTrip’s hand in the international travel segment by simplifying bookings and offering breadth in accommodation choice.
MakeMyTrip aims to provide a one-stop platform for Indian travellers planning UK trips. With Premier Inn now available across its listings, the platform reinforces its commitment to combining global scale with customer convenience in outbound tourism.
