Lords Hotels and Resorts has announced the signing of a new property in Sagara, a town in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. The leisure retreat is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will be located in the Western Ghats, an area known for its natural beauty and biodiversity.
The property will feature well-appointed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, bar, banquet hall, and swimming pool. Additional amenities will be designed to provide comfort and relaxation while offering guests immersive travel experiences.
The location places visitors near several of Karnataka’s major attractions. These include Jog Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India, the Sharavati River, the historic Keladi and Ikkeri temples, and the Sharavathi Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. The region combines natural scenery, cultural heritage, and rich ecological diversity.
Pushpendra Bansal, Chief Operating Officer of Lords Hotels and Resorts, said the Sagara project is part of the company’s strategy to develop properties in less explored destinations.
This new signing marks an important step in our continued efforts to develop experiential properties in offbeat and naturally rich locations. Sagara’s breathtaking landscapes, sacred heritage, and eco-rich surroundings make it an ideal addition to our leisure portfolio. We are excited to bring Lords signature warmth, service, and value to this charming part of Karnataka – Pushpendra Bansal.
Sudhir Jena, Vice President Corporate for Lords Hotels and Resorts, said the new property reflects the group’s focus on integrating nature, culture, and hospitality in its operations.
This expansion underscores Lords Hotels and Resorts’ commitment to delivering meaningful travel experiences that blend nature, culture, and hospitality across India. With its ideal setting for nature lovers, leisure travelers, and cultural explorers, the Sagara property is expected to set a new benchmark for eco-conscious luxury stays in the region – Sudhir Jena
The addition of the Sagara retreat will further expand the Lords Hotels and Resorts portfolio in southern India. The group operates properties in multiple segments, from business hotels to leisure resorts, across various states in the country.
By choosing Sagara for its next project, the company aims to attract travelers seeking both natural beauty and cultural depth, while contributing to the tourism growth of the Shivamogga district.
