Lemon Tree Hotels Limited announced that its fully owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels Private Limited, has executed a Hotel Operation Agreement for a new property in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Once corporate licence arrangements are finalized, the property will operate under the “Lemon Tree Suites” brand.
The forthcoming Greater Noida hotel will feature 336 suites designed for both business and leisure travellers. The property will include a full-service restaurant, bar, banquet hall, swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and dedicated public spaces. The hotel’s location offers strategic advantage with connectivity to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, located approximately 39 kilometres away, and Ghaziabad Railway Station, which is about 13 kilometres distant. Road access to both public and private transport is also expected to support guest arrivals.
Vilas Pawar, Chief Executive Officer of Managed and Franchise Business at Lemon Tree Hotels, emphasized the company’s commitment to increasing its presence in Uttar Pradesh. “We are delighted to announce the expansion of our portfolio in Uttar Pradesh,” Pawar said. “Lemon Tree Hotels is expanding its presence across the country in cities across all tiers to become the most preferred hospitality chain across different segments. This opening will be in addition to our seven existing and ten upcoming hotels in Uttar Pradesh.”
Lemon Tree’s current portfolio in the state includes well-known brands such as Lemon Tree Hotel, Noida — the company’s seventh property in Uttar Pradesh to open in August 2024. The pipeline also features several upcoming properties across Madhya Pradesh and Punjab, all of which are to be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited.
The Greater Noida signing is part of Lemon Tree Hotels’ broader expansion strategy. The company operates seven hotel brands across the upscale, upper midscale, midscale and economy segments. It has 110 operational hotels in 64 cities and more than 60 properties under development.
This latest development reinforces Lemon Tree Hotels’ position in North India’s hospitality industry. Construction timelines and detailed financial data related to the Greater Noida project were not disclosed.
The hotel operation agreement is subject to final licensing documents being signed by Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. The company is expected to share further updates once the licence is executed and construction plans are finalized.
