Marriott International has announced the promotion of Juhi Roy to Vice President of Hotel Development, South Asia, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the company’s growth and expansion in the region.
With 28 years of extensive industry experience, Juhi brings a deep understanding of hospitality development and strategic growth. In her new role, she will lead Marriott’s development team for South Asia, driving the company’s expansion initiatives and strengthening its market presence.

Juhi’s journey with Marriott began in 2012 when she joined as Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Development. Over the years, her dedication and expertise earned her progressive roles, including Development Coordinator, Assistant Manager, Director of Development, and most recently, Senior Director of Hotel Development.
During the past seven years, Juhi has been pivotal in accelerating Marriott’s growth trajectory in South Asia. She has sourced, negotiated, and signed 91 hotel deals, representing 13,600 rooms. A remarkable milestone in her career is holding the record for signing the highest number of JW Marriott projects within the development organization.
Before joining Marriott, Juhi gained valuable experience with Hyatt, where she spent four years as part of their development team. She also held roles at Hindustan Times Media Ltd. and EY, further diversifying her expertise across different facets of the industry.
Juhi began her career with Oberoi Hotels in New Delhi, where she contributed to the marketing of their F&B Loyalty Program, laying the foundation for her remarkable career in hospitality.
Her promotion reflects Marriott’s commitment to fostering leadership talent and its ambitious plans to expand its footprint across South Asia.
