JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent has announced the appointment of Ilkin Imanov as its Pre-Opening General Manager, ahead of the hotel’s much-anticipated debut in late 2025.
A seasoned hospitality professional with over 20 years of global experience, Imanov has held distinguished on-property and corporate leadership roles across Baku, Russia, Germany, Malaysia, Turkey, Greece, and Doha. Most recently, he served as General Manager of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa and as Chairman of the Qatar Marriott Business Council, where he was instrumental in driving operational excellence and strengthening brand presence.

His career is decorated with numerous accolades, including being named “The Best General Manager Country Winner – Qatar” at the 2024 World Luxury Hotel Awards.
Academically, Imanov holds an MBA in Hospitality Management from Euclea Business School, France, and a Bachelor’s degree from Azerbaijan State Languages University. He is fluent in English, Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Russian, bringing valuable multicultural expertise to his new leadership role.
Scheduled to open in late 2025, JW Marriott Tashkent will feature 287 rooms and suites, signature dining outlets, a luxury spa, JW Garden, and state-of-the-art event spaces, offering guests a blend of modern luxury and timeless hospitality in the heart of Uzbekistan’s capital.
