IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a management agreement to launch Holiday Inn Siliguri, slated to open in 2027. The upcoming property is being developed in collaboration with Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, a joint venture between Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group. This move underscores IHG’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in emerging and high-potential secondary markets across India.
Nestled at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri is a vital commercial hub and transit point for North-East India. The city plays a strategic role as a gateway for trade and travel, with direct links to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, making it a prime location for commerce, logistics, and cross-border connectivity.

The upcoming hotel will feature 111 contemporary rooms, three diverse dining options, two well-equipped meeting spaces, and a fitness centre. Designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers, the property will also include the brand’s signature Open Lobby concept, creating a multifunctional space for relaxation, work, and socializing. With these offerings, the hotel aims to capture Siliguri’s growing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment while providing a welcoming stay for tourists and transit guests.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said,
“We are excited to bring the Holiday Inn brand to Siliguri, a city of immense strategic and commercial importance. With its modern design and trusted Holiday Inn hospitality, this hotel will serve as a key landmark in our expanding portfolio, meeting the needs of business, leisure, and MICE travellers alike.”
Representatives of the joint venture – Mr. Pradip Agarwal (Kaysons Group), Mr. Anil Goyal (Sagar Group), and Mr. Girdhari Lal Goenka (Golden Goenka Group) – shared their vision for the project, stating,
“Partnering with IHG allows us to bring global standards of hospitality to Siliguri. We believe Holiday Inn Siliguri will set a new benchmark in the region and become a preferred destination for both local and international travellers.”
Currently, IHG operates 51 hotels across six brands in India, with 72 more properties in the pipeline, expected to open over the next three to five years. The addition of Holiday Inn Siliguri further reinforces IHG’s commitment to expanding its mainstream hotel offerings in high-growth Indian markets.
