Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality chain, has signed a management agreement for a new Vivanta hotel in Anjuna, Goa, the company announced Thursday. The 110-room property marks IHCL’s latest entry in a key leisure market and the brand’s continued efforts to broaden its presence in premium segments .
Named Vivanta Anjuna, Goa, the greenfield project is strategically located near Anjuna’s beaches and cultural hotspots. The upscale resort will feature an all-day dining restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center and modern conference facilities .
Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president of real estate and development at IHCL, said the project aligns with the company’s strategy to deepen its presence in leisure destinations. “IHCL has been at the forefront of pioneering destinations and has played a defining role in putting Goa on the global tourism map for over five decades. This signing is in line with our strategy to expand IHCL’s presence across segments in key leisure markets,” she said .
The project is being developed in partnership with Fiesta Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Ravinder Kumar, director of the firm, said, “We are proud to collaborate with IHCL through the addition of our second hotel in Goa. It stands as a testament to our shared vision to deliver exceptional experiences in one of India’s most cherished destinations” .
The new signing raises IHCL’s total properties in Goa to 18, including five with ongoing development .
Anjuna, situated in North Goa, is renowned for its vibrant culture, scenic beaches and music scene, making it a compelling choice for experiential hospitality. IHCL’s portfolio in Goa spans multiple brands—including Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger—targeting a wide spectrum of travelers.
The new property will cater to a mix of leisure and business guests. It will offer 110 well-appointed rooms along with amenities such as a pool, fitness center and conference spaces.
Goa continues to remain India’s premier beach destination, drawing on its Portuguese heritage, coastal landscapes and dynamic local communities. IHCL’s move signals confidence in Goa’s long-term tourism appeal, supported by the state’s growing interest in experiential and upscale hospitality.
Currently, IHCL operates nearly 400 hotels across multiple brands, with over 140 additional properties in development across four continents and 14 countries.
The addition of Vivanta Anjuna underscores IHCL’s ongoing strategy to deepen investment in leisure destinations and expand across diverse market segments. The property is expected to open following completion of construction, further enhancing Goa’s hospitality offering.
