Grand Hyatt Gurgaon has appointed Dia Rajdev as its new director of events, the hotel announced this week. Rajdev brings more than 15 years of experience with luxury brands and returns to Hyatt after previous roles at the company’s properties in Pune and Mumbai.
Before assuming her new position at Grand Hyatt, Rajdev served as director of catering at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. Her background includes senior roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, St. Regis and Westin. She led initiatives in event sales, MICE—meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions—budgeting, pre‑opening operations and team leadership.
In a statement, Rajdev said she was “thrilled to rejoin the Hyatt family” and aims to design immersive, meaningful experiences that resonate with guests.
Hotel officials said the appointment aligns with Grand Hyatt Gurgaon’s goal of expanding its position as a premier destination for weddings, corporate gatherings and high-end social events across the National Capital Region.
Rajdev’s return to Hyatt follows earlier roles within Hyatt properties located in Pune and Mumbai, reinforcing a long-standing connection to the brand.
Her appointment comes at a time when Grand Hyatt Gurgaon is investing in enhancing guest experiences and event capabilities. The hotel aims to attract upscale and corporate clientele by providing elevated service standards and event innovation.
Industry analysts note that hiring a leader with strong MICE credentials and international luxury experience positions the hotel to capitalize on growth in premium event hosting.
