Ganpati Group has announced plans to invest approximately ₹250 crore in a 200-key hotel in Lucknow, in partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts. The proposed property will be located in Vibhuti Khand and forms part of the real estate developer’s expansion into branded hospitality.
The development will combine Ganpati Group’s real estate development capabilities with Sheraton’s international hotel brand and management expertise. The project is among the group’s planned hospitality investments as it looks to diversify beyond residential and commercial real estate.
₹250 Crore Hotel Project Planned in Vibhuti Khand
The proposed 200-room hotel will be developed in Vibhuti Khand, one of Lucknow’s established commercial districts.
Ganpati Group has identified the city as a priority market for hospitality investment, citing its growing business ecosystem, infrastructure development and tourism potential.
The project will expand the presence of internationally branded hospitality in the Uttar Pradesh capital. The company has not disclosed the hotel’s proposed opening date or detailed facilities.
Ganpati Group Targets 800–1,000 Hotel Keys
The Lucknow project forms part of a broader hospitality expansion programme under which Ganpati Group plans to add approximately 800–1,000 hotel keys over the next three to five years.
Hospitality will also feature in the group’s upcoming development portfolio, estimated at ₹2,000 crore, covering residential, commercial and hotel projects.
Lucknow and Visakhapatnam are among the immediate focus markets for this development pipeline.
Partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts
The proposed hotel represents Ganpati Group’s strategy of developing hospitality assets in collaboration with established international operators.
Nikhil Agarwal, Managing Director, Ganpati Group, said:
“Hospitality is an important pillar of our long-term growth strategy, and our planned ₹250 crore investment in Lucknow, in partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, reflects our conviction in the potential of India’s evolving hospitality market.”
Agarwal identified markets with expanding business activity, infrastructure investment and tourism potential as priorities for the group’s hospitality development strategy.
He also highlighted the opportunity to combine Ganpati Group’s development expertise with Sheraton’s international hospitality experience.
Lucknow Identified as a Priority Hospitality Market
Ganpati Group’s decision to invest in Lucknow reflects its assessment of the city’s commercial development and business and leisure travel potential.
As Uttar Pradesh’s administrative capital, Lucknow serves government, corporate and tourism-related travel demand. The group sees these factors as supporting opportunities for branded hotel development.
The proposed Sheraton hotel will form part of its strategy to build a diversified hospitality portfolio across urban and emerging markets.
