Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road have announced the appointment of Bhavani Mani Shankar Dutta as Director of Operations, strengthening the leadership structure across the dual-branded property. The appointment reflects the group’s focus on operational depth, people leadership, and sustained performance in one of Bengaluru’s most competitive hotel markets.

A seasoned Accor leader takes on a multi-property mandate
Bhavani Mani Shankar Dutta brings close to two decades of experience in hospitality operations, with deep familiarity across Accor brands and operating models. Having spent over 15 years with Accor India, he has built a strong track record in both operations and people leadership, underpinned by a clear understanding of brand standards and organisational culture.
In his new role, Bhavani will oversee overall hotel operations across Novotel and ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. His mandate includes driving operational efficiency, enhancing guest experience, strengthening financial performance, and building high levels of team engagement across departments.
Experience shaped through operations and people leadership
Most recently, Bhavani was part of Accor’s MEA–APAC Master’s Program, the group’s fast-track General Manager development initiative. As part of this programme, he gained extensive cross-functional exposure at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, further strengthening his operational and strategic capabilities.
Earlier in his career, he served as Director – Talent & Culture at several prominent Accor properties, including Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, Novotel & ibis Chennai OMR, Novotel & ibis Chennai SIPCOT, and Novotel & ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. These roles gave him hands-on experience in talent development, organisational culture, and aligning people strategy with business outcomes.
