Fortune Hotels, part of the ITC Hotels Group, has named Anurag Bharadwaj as the new General Manager of Fortune Ranjit Vihar Amritsar, the company said. Bharadwaj will direct the full spectrum of property operations, driving service delivery and overall business performance.
A hospitality veteran with over 15 years of expertise, Bharadwaj is widely recognised for his strategic approach, operational discipline and commitment to high‑quality guest experiences. In his new role, he will oversee all operational functions, lead team development and aim to strengthen the hotel’s competitive positioning in the Amritsar market.
Before joining Fortune Hotels, Bharadwaj held managerial roles across prominent brands. His prior assignments include serving at Holiday Inn Amritsar and Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula (part of IHG), as well as with The Fern Hotels & Resorts. He brings a proven track record in launching and managing premium hospitality properties, positioning him to lead the Amritsar hotel with innovation and purpose.
This launch follows the opening of Fortune’s first hotel in Amritsar, Fortune Inn Heritage Walk, which went live just one month earlier. With both properties operating, the chain now holds over 200 rooms in Punjab alone.
Anurag’s appointment is aligned with Fortune Hotels’ objective of strengthening local leadership to support operational excellence amid growing demand from corporate and leisure travellers. The hotel reported that Bengaluru’s event scene, the nearby Golden Temple and Punjabi travel circuits have driven significant interest in its MICE offerings.
In addition to accommodation and meeting venues, the hotel houses Zodiac, an all‑day dining restaurant with global cuisine, and Nakshatra, a rooftop sky‑dining outlet featuring Indian grill and skyline views.
Bharadwaj steps into the role amid a period of heightened hospitality competition in Amritsar. The city’s rising appeal to leisure travellers, pilgrimage visitors and business guests is creating new opportunities for upscale, branded hotels. He will be expected to refine revenue management strategies, enhance team capability and elevate the hotel’s service delivery standards.
With Bharadwaj at the helm of operations, Fortune Ranjit Vihar Amritsar — positioned near key landmarks such as the Golden Temple, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama and Partition Museum — reaffirms its intention to emerge as an upscale city‑centre destination for business, leisure and social events in Punjab.
