Le Meridien Nagpur has announced the appointment of Vinayak Sungar as its new Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, further reinforcing the hotel’s focus on operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and high-impact dining experiences.
A career built across leading hospitality brands
Vinayak brings with him extensive expertise in hotel management and food and beverage operations, shaped through his association with some of India’s most respected hospitality brands. He began his professional journey at Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, where his performance and leadership earned him key industry recognition, including the Executive of the Year Award and a nomination for the Worldwide Executive of the Year – APEC Region.
Over the years, Vinayak has built a strong operational foundation through roles with prominent hotels such as Taj Convention Centre, Indore Marriott Hotel, and Fairfield by Marriott Rajajinagar. His exposure across diverse formats and markets has equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of service delivery, team leadership, and large-scale event execution.
Proven leadership during high-profile national events
A defining chapter of Vinayak’s career was his tenure at Indore Marriott Hotel, where he played a pivotal role during the G20 Summit. Among his notable achievements was successfully leading a prestigious dinner for 150 international delegates in Mandu, located nearly 100 kilometres from the hotel. The event highlighted his ability to manage complex logistics, deliver flawless service standards, and lead teams under high-pressure, high-visibility conditions.
Role and responsibilities at Le Meridien Nagpur
In his new role as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Vinayak will oversee the hotel’s day-to-day food and beverage operations while working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage on strategic planning, financial performance, and team leadership. His mandate includes maintaining quality standards, strengthening cost controls, enhancing guest satisfaction, and ensuring consistency across all dining and banquet operations.
With his blend of operational rigour, event expertise, and people-focused leadership, Vinayak Sungar’s appointment is expected to add depth to Le Meridien Nagpur’s food and beverage leadership as the hotel continues to elevate its culinary and service offerings.
