The Hari Hong Kong has officially joined IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection, bringing the independent luxury hotel into IHG’s global distribution network and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme. The move marks a new phase for the 210-room property in Wan Chai, while retaining the hotel’s established identity and independent character.
The transition follows last month’s announcement that The Hari Hong Kong, The Hari London and the forthcoming The Hari Singapore would become part of Vignette Collection. The move further develops the partnership between Harilela Group and IHG, which has continued for more than five decades.
The Hari Hong Kong Enters Vignette Collection
The addition connects The Hari Hong Kong with IHG’s international distribution platform while giving guests access to the IHG One Rewards ecosystem. The hotel will continue to operate with its individual character, design approach and service philosophy within the Vignette Collection.
Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group, said,
“The Hari embodies relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and intuitive, heartfelt hospitality,” said Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group. “Joining the Vignette Collection preserves The Hari’s one-of-a-kind character while connecting the brand to a global community of travellers who value individuality and authenticity.”
A Distinctive Address in Wan Chai
The Hari Hong Kong occupies a 30-storey building on Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, one of the city’s oldest and most eclectic districts. The property was designed by British interior designer Tara Bernerd and comprises 210 guest rooms, including three signature rooftop suites.
Guest rooms and suites offer views across Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, The Peak and Victoria Harbour, placing the hotel within one of Hong Kong’s established urban neighbourhoods while connecting guests to the city’s wider skyline.
The hotel’s design and positioning reflect its emphasis on individuality, with its architecture and interiors forming part of the overall guest experience.

Dining and Social Spaces Define the Hotel
The property’s dining and social offering includes Italian ristorante Lucciola and contemporary Japanese restaurant Zoku. Zoku features a distinctive ceiling made from angled timber slats arranged in an origami-inspired form.
The hotel also features The Terrace, an alfresco terrace bar, while The Lounge serves as an all-day sitting area with a collection of books and artworks. Together, the spaces provide different settings for dining, drinks, relaxation and social interaction.
The range of restaurants and communal spaces contributes to The Hari Hong Kong’s identity as a hotel connected to both hospitality and the wider neighbourhood.
Art, Culture and Community at the Core
The Hari Hong Kong has developed initiatives focused on art, design, culture and community alongside its hotel operations. These include The Hari Art Prize, which supports emerging artists, and The Hari Chronicles, a platform for ongoing conversations around art, design and culture.
The hotel has also introduced The Hari Neighbourhood Guide Audio Tour, designed to take visitors beyond conventional tourist routes and introduce them to different aspects of the surrounding area.
These initiatives form part of the hotel’s wider connection with the local community and its approach to sustainability and destination engagement.
Harilela Group and IHG Expand Their Partnership
The inclusion of The Hari Hong Kong in Vignette Collection extends a relationship between Harilela Group and IHG that spans more than five decades. The partnership now includes The Hari Hong Kong and The Hari London, with The Hari Singapore also planned to join the collection.
For The Hari Hong Kong, the transition combines the reach and distribution capabilities of a global hotel group with an established independent hospitality identity. The hotel will continue to draw on its location, design, dining, art and community programmes as it becomes part of IHG’s luxury collection.
