Sula Vineyards has begun 2026 with the launch of The Source Chardonnay Reserve, a new addition to its premium The Source portfolio. The release reinforces Sula’s focus on refined winemaking and terroir-led expressions, positioning the wine as a sophisticated offering for elevated dining and celebratory moments.
A Chardonnay shaped by oak and precision
The Source Chardonnay Reserve is crafted from select vineyards and undergoes oak fermentation, a process chosen to enhance depth and complexity while retaining freshness. The wine is medium-bodied with an alcohol content of 13 percent, presenting honeyed aromas layered with subtle vanilla notes. On the palate, it delivers a smooth, textured profile that balances richness with vibrancy.
The oak influence is designed to add structure and nuance without overpowering the fruit, reflecting Sula’s emphasis on controlled, detail-driven winemaking.

Positioned for premium occasions and food pairings

The launch builds on the growing reputation of The Source range, which has seen strong acceptance among wine enthusiasts. Earlier releases, including a highly regarded Pinot Noir, have helped establish the label as a marker of Sula’s premium aspirations.
Winemaker’s perspective on the new release
Commenting on the launch, Gorakh Gaikwad, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Winemaker at Sula Vineyards, said, the wine was crafted to showcase the elegance of Chardonnay through careful oak treatment and balanced freshness, resulting in a confident yet approachable expression.

The Source Chardonnay Reserve is priced at INR 1,250 for a 750 ml bottle and INR 685 for a 375 ml bottle. The wine is currently available across Maharashtra, with plans to roll out in Karnataka in the coming months.
