Sinclairs Hotels Limited has announced the inaugural opening of Sinclairs Palace Retreat Udaipur, located about 35 kilometres from Udaipur, along the scenic Haldighati Road. This marks the company’s first foray into North India and the second property under its brand in Udaipur, promising guests a heritage‐style luxury resort experience.
Sprawled across five acres of land, the Palace Retreat features 90 rooms and suites, accompanied by 5 cottages, all designed in a style inspired by Rajasthani heritage. The architecture echoes palace traditions, with heritage aesthetics blended into modern comforts, and the setting framed by the foothills of the Aravallis.

Guests will have access to an ornate banquet facility of approximately 7,000 sq. ft., multiple terraces ideal for gatherings, a vegetarian multi‐cuisine restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and a children’s park. The resort is designed to serve weddings, large conferences, family holidays, and leisure stays.
Sinclairs Hotels has positioned the Palace Retreat to open in December 2024, according to the lease acquisition and board approvals. The decision reflects the company’s strategy of expanding into high‐potential regions with heritage and destination value.
With this addition, Sinclairs Hotels’ portfolio grows significantly in Rajasthan, adding to its existing and forthcoming properties in Udaipur. The new resort is expected to enhance the brand’s footprint in destination wedding tourism, spiritual travel (given its proximity to landmarks such as Shrinathji Temple and Nathdwara), and leisure travel markets.
