Accor has announced the appointment of Ranju Alex as Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, overseeing operations across India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The Group currently operates over 70 hotels in the region, with more than 30 in the pipeline.
A seasoned hospitality leader with over three decades of experience, Ranju moves from Marriott International, where she most recently served as Regional Vice President – South Asia, managing a portfolio of 170+ hotels. She began her career with The Oberoi Group in 1993 and went on to hold several key leadership roles at Marriott, earning recognition for her strategic acumen and industry contributions. She was recently honored with the Bharat Gaurav Award, celebrating her outstanding achievements.

Her appointment comes as Accor and InterGlobe prepare to launch their new joint venture, consolidating businesses into a single entity, subject to regulatory approvals.
