The Professional Housekeepers Association (PHA) has unveiled the theme and logo for its 8th National Convention, scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 30 May 2026. The announcement marks the start of preparations for one of the country’s key industry gatherings focused on housekeeping and facility management professionals.
The convention will be organised under the theme “Stewards of Standards – Leadership in the Art and Science of Housekeeping.” The theme highlights the expanding role of housekeeping professionals across hospitality, healthcare, corporate and institutional environments.

Theme Highlights the Changing Role of Housekeeping Leadership
The theme reflects the evolution of housekeeping from a traditionally operational function to a leadership role within service-driven industries. Modern housekeeping teams play an important part in maintaining hygiene standards, operational efficiency, sustainability practices and brand integrity.
Today’s professionals are responsible not only for cleanliness and comfort but also for integrating technology, training teams and managing systems that support safe and efficient built environments.
The phrase “Art and Science” within the theme represents the balance between service intuition, aesthetic presentation and structured, data-driven operational systems that define contemporary housekeeping practices.

Convention Logo Reflects Technology and Professional Progress

Alongside the theme announcement, the Professional Housekeepers Association also introduced the official logo for the convention.
The logo incorporates the association’s insignia and design elements representing the host city of New Delhi. A central visual features a woman housekeeper holding a digital tablet, symbolising the growing integration of technology within housekeeping operations.
The design reflects the association’s emphasis on modernisation and professional leadership while continuing to uphold the core standards of service excellence that define the profession.
Convention to Bring Together Industry Leaders and Professionals
The 8th National Convention will bring together professionals from multiple sectors connected to housekeeping and facility services. Participants are expected to include executive housekeepers, hospitality leaders, healthcare administrators, facility and corporate real estate professionals, hospitality educators, technology providers and industry partners.
The event will include keynote sessions, panel discussions, skill demonstrations, technology showcases and networking opportunities. The platform aims to encourage knowledge exchange and promote best practices across industries where housekeeping standards play a critical role.
Leadership Perspective on the Convention Theme
Commenting on the announcement, Jayashree Nagaraj, Founder President and Chairperson of the Professional Housekeepers Association, said:
“This year’s theme reflects the growing recognition of housekeeping as a leadership function within hospitality and allied service sectors. We are proud to host the Convention in the capital city and look forward to welcoming industry stalwarts from across India.”
Bharti Singh Kalappa, Founder Member, National Vice President and VP Operations, PHA North Chapter, added:
“The 8th National Convention in New Delhi is designed to be more than an annual gathering—it is a movement towards redefining the future of (professional) housekeeping (across industries) in India”.
Sharing her perspective, Indrani Sanyal, Head – Facilities & Services, Woodlands Hospital and Chief Convenor of PHA’s 8th National Convention, said:
“The theme ‘Stewards of Standards – Leadership in the Art and Science of Housekeeping’ was inspired by a simple yet powerful belief — that true leadership begins with care, drives innovation, and ultimately elevates excellence. Today, housekeeping is no longer viewed as a support function; it is a strategic and reputational asset that influences brand trust, ESG commitments, customer loyalty, and long-term value creation. As Chief Convenor, my endeavour has been to create a platform that bridges leadership intent with operational execution — because standards are not declared in strategy alone; they are built, measured, and sustained over time”.
Industry Platform for Advancing Professional Standards
The Professional Housekeepers Association’s National Convention has grown into an important forum for professionals across sectors that rely on high operational standards. The upcoming New Delhi edition is expected to attract participants from leading hospitality brands, educational institutions and service partners from across the country.
Through discussions, demonstrations and collaboration, the convention aims to advance professional standards and highlight the increasing strategic importance of housekeeping in modern service environments.
