DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon has promoted Praveen Kumar to the position of Banquet Manager, recognising his consistent performance and steady progression within the organisation.
A steady rise within the organisation
Praveen Kumar has been associated with DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon for nearly four years, during which he has grown through multiple operational roles within the banqueting function. He assumed charge as Banquet Manager in October 2025 and is based in Gurugram, Haryana.
Before this promotion, he served as Assistant Banquet Manager from December 2023 to September 2025, where he played a key role in day-to-day banquet operations, team coordination, and event execution. Earlier, from March 2022 to December 2023, he worked as a Banquet Executive, gaining hands-on experience in event service delivery and operational planning.

Strong foundation in food and beverage operations
Prior to joining DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon, Praveen built his food and beverage expertise across several well-known hospitality brands. He worked as a Food and Beverage Executive at Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Delhi, where he gained exposure to large-format banqueting and premium service standards.
His earlier experience also includes a role as Food and Beverage Supervisor at Ramada Hotel in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where he was involved in supervising service teams and managing outlet operations. Additionally, he began his hospitality journey with Radisson Hotel Group as a Guest Services Associate, developing a strong understanding of guest interaction and service fundamentals.

Role focus as Banquet Manager
In his new role, Praveen Kumar will oversee banquet operations at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon. His responsibilities include managing event execution, coordinating with sales and kitchen teams, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth delivery of conferences, weddings, and social events. He will also focus on team leadership, operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall guest experience across banquet functions.
His promotion reflects the hotel’s emphasis on nurturing internal talent and building leadership strength through operational experience and long-term commitment.
