Oaga Art Resort Maldives will reopen on August 1, 2026, following a brief operational hiatus, unveiling the first phase of a comprehensive enhancement programme across its accommodation, dining, wellness, and recreational facilities.

The upgrades are designed to elevate the guest experience while preserving the resort’s distinctive focus on art, culture, and authentic Maldivian hospitality.

Accommodation and Dining Receive Major Upgrades

As part of the refresh, the resort’s Haruge and Bodu Haruge villas have been upgraded with refreshed interiors, expanded lounge areas, dedicated vanity spaces, and enhanced furnishings to improve guest comfort and functionality.

The resort has also completed a significant transformation of Kaa Kada, its all-day dining restaurant, which now offers expanded indoor and outdoor seating, a larger buffet, and a new bar. Guests can enjoy dedicated culinary stations featuring Asian, Mediterranean, vegetarian, grilled, seafood, and Maldivian cuisine.

Meanwhile, Dhan Kada, the resort’s late-night dining venue, has resumed operations, serving guests daily from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

New Italian Restaurant and Enhanced Social Spaces

Among the new additions is La’ Fuh Dan, an Italian speciality restaurant overlooking the beach. The restaurant combines classic Italian dishes with locally inspired recipes that showcase Maldivian ingredients.

The resort has also introduced a new beachside van bar designed to enhance the sunset experience.

Raa Baa, the property’s social hub, has been expanded with a larger indoor lounge, additional seating, upgraded guest facilities, and a larger performance stage for live music, cultural programmes, and artistic events. The main swimming pool has also been enlarged and redesigned.

Wellness and Recreation Receive a Refresh

Several recreational and wellness facilities have also been upgraded, including the Hoara X-Centre, Fiyoh Kids Club, Ollie’s Farm, and Hoba Spa.

The spa now offers a refreshed wellness menu inspired by traditional Maldivian healing practices, further reinforcing the resort’s emphasis on immersive local experiences.

    Expansion Plans Continue

Later this year, Oaga Art Resort Maldives plans to introduce a new collection of overwater villas, including an entirely new villa category located on the island’s sunrise side, further expanding its accommodation offering.

Located in North Malé Atoll, approximately 45 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, the resort currently features 60 beach and overwater villas and operates under its Greatest All Inclusive Plan, offering guests experiences centred on art, culture, wellness, and island living.
