Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences has announced the appointment of Rana Mukherjee as its new Executive Sous Chef, bringing a rich culinary background shaped by experience with leading hospitality brands. Chef Rana joins the team ready to elevate the property’s food offerings and operations.

A graduate of the Institute of Management Studies, Delhi, Rana began his culinary journey at Fariyas Resort in Lonavala, then expanded his international exposure at Pars International in Bahrain. In the years since, he has sharpened his skills in pre-opening new properties, managing large-scale banquets, and leading high-performance kitchen teams. His previous roles include key contributions at JW Marriott Pune, Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Courtyard by Marriott Ranchi, and The Westin Kolkata—where his consistent dedication to quality, safety, and culinary innovation has earned strong recognition.
