World Oceans Day Initiative Encourages Guests to Exchange Plastic Waste for Rewards
Novotel Dubai Al Barsha has announced a sustainability-focused initiative in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to mark World Oceans Day on 8 June. The hotel will host a Plastic Exchange Bar at its rooftop venue, Deck Se7en, encouraging guests to convert recyclable plastic waste into meaningful environmental action.
Running from 8 to 12 June 2026, the initiative aims to raise awareness about plastic pollution while supporting responsible recycling and ocean conservation efforts.
Guests Rewarded for Recycling Plastic
As part of the campaign, guests can bring clean recyclable plastic waste to Deck Se7en and exchange it for a complimentary ocean-inspired cocktail and complimentary pool access.
All plastic collected during the activation will be responsibly recycled, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The initiative forms part of Novotel’s ongoing collaboration with WWF, focused on promoting awareness around plastic waste and encouraging guests to adopt more sustainable habits.

Through the campaign, Novotel Dubai Al Barsha hopes to encourage guests and the wider community to reconsider their relationship with plastic and take practical steps towards reducing environmental impact.
