Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar has appointed Mohammad Muneer as its new Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM), the hotel announced Monday. Muneer will also serve as Area Champion for Sales and Marketing for IHG Hotels & Resorts across Southwest Asia, taking on a dual leadership role within the group’s regional portfolio.
Muneer joins the property with over 18 years of experience in the hospitality sector, having served in senior commercial roles at leading brands including Shangri La, Taj, The Westin, Le Méridien and Sheraton. Most recently he led commercial strategy at Holiday Inn Bengaluru Racecourse, where he drove notable revenue growth, redefined positioning, and championed operational agility.
An alumnus of Vinayaka Missions University with a master’s degree, Muneer emphasized his career development under IHG’s leadership framework. “IHG’s ‘Room to Grow’ philosophy has given me the space to evolve into a multidimensional leader,” he said. In addition to his property responsibilities, Muneer’s regional role will involve collaboration with IHG’s broader sales and marketing teams across Southwest Asia to drive performance metrics and foster integrated initiatives across the group’s brands.
As Director of Sales and Marketing, he will oversee revenue generation, business development, strategic partnerships, brand positioning and team growth at the 5 star property. Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar caters to both corporate and leisure travelers, serving as a key destination for guests attending events at nearby Noida, Delhi and the India Expo Centre.
Muneer’s appointment comes at a time when the hotel is investing in enhancing facilities and programming to meet the evolving demands of what IHG terms ‘blended travellers’ — guests balancing work and leisure during their stays.
